I don't really have strong feelings (at this point) on Bill Simmons one way or another. He obviously has an audience and a following so I don't think he's in any immediate danger with ESPN. As my brother, who is a huge Simmons fan pointed out to me, he just signed a long-term deal last year.

At what point does he become Keith Olbermann 2.0?

He's bitten that particular hand that feeds him so many times over the years that I doubt ESPN feels it anymore.

I like his non-Lakers/Celtics NBA stuff. And his pop-culture stuff can be fun to read.

At his core he's as insufferable as any other Boston fan, just happens to be intelligent and has an outlet.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

I like his wrestling commentary.
