Yeah how can he be slotted ahead of EdRod? I mean, 20 year old LHP who throws mid nineties and has been a pro for a couple of years now. Where is the love?

This is going to be one of those picks that really tells the story of the state of our development system 3-4 years from now.

Shocking that the O's take the signability pick.
Not that he was really overdrafted but they couldve done better and the fact that signability was never going to be an issue just makes it meh.

I'm going to go ahead and agree with the meh.
Great kid, but command issues, and no 3rd pitch. Let's see what DD can do with development.

So Roch says his fastball sits between 89-92. Dan Connelly says he's seen him reach 97. Juiced gun probably. If he sits at 89-92, he better be able to locate really well.
In my expert opinion, I know nothing about the guy. But, can't have enough arms.
I've got 90-93. Heard someone say on TV earlier they heard him hit 97, but I don't really believe that.

So I take it he's got a mid rotation ceiling and is likely 4-5 years away from potentially joining the O's?

Yep. Mid rotation CEILING. Much easier to hit that RP status. Especially without a 3rd pitch, much less a 4th.
