I had It'smyluckyday in the Derby, and I'm going to give him one more shot this weekend. Orb looks like a monster for sure, but I have to try and beat him one more time.

Orb is an even money favorite...wow.

For the Layman's reading this, it means he probably won't lose.

Well, I am always rooting for a triple crown, so this would be really exciting... but I can't imagine this being such a shoe in. Crazy.

Me too, brother!

The Derby winner has won the Preakness something like 9 times in the last 15 years, or something close. We're still waiting. This is a pretty weak 3 year old crop of horses, so maybe this is the year.

SOE: Top Ten Mascot Fails

Number 10: Kegasus

Combining recognizable traits of other famous Baltimore icons like the crab (an excess of limbs), Cal Ripken Jr. (ancient and highly mythologized) and filmmaker John Waters (utterly bonkers), Kegasus bridged the gap between dignified jewel in the international horseracing crown and mosh pit at a heavy metal festival in a way few mascots would ever be asked to.

Any thoughts on the Black Eyed Susan today?  Will probably leave the office early and spend the afternoon at Pimlico today rather than tomorrow.  Liking Maracuya at first glance.

The only horse I see as a threat to Orb is Will Take Charge. I don't think Orb can be beat, but IF there's a chance, it'll be Will Take Charge.

Last night I found out Fifty Shades of Hay won the Black Eyed Susan. I'm still laughing.

All horses should be named after puns.
