Tried to post this a couple times last night....

Wigan Athletic tallied the lone goal of the FA Cup Final just past the 90th minute Saturday to stun Manchester City and claim the first major trophy in the Latics' 81-year history. Unfortunately for Wigan, they may become the first top-flight club ever to win the FA Cup and be relegated in the same season. Heading into this weekend's matches, they stood in 18th position with 35 points, three points behind the trio of Sunderland (15th), Norwich City (16th), and Newcastle United (17th), with only two matches remaining.

Sunderland have since drew with Southampton, Norwich devastated WBA, and Newcastle defeated QPR. Wigan must defeat Arsenal on Tuesday to keep a realistic chance of staving off relegation. A draw would get them to within three points of now-17th position Sunderland, but they would trail by 11 on goal differential; a win would draw them to one point behind.
