Nice writeup, Lance. I am a long time OOTP player (since 5). It's had some ups and downs but it is a great game now.

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm actually a former Baseball Mogul player but switched over at the onset of 12. Fantastic game and this year's edition is better than anything that's ever been released before IMO.

This game is quite amazing.

I am really impressed with the minor league aspect. I don't believe there is any other simulation that matches real-life ups and downs like OOTP. I think OOTP has truly grown into a MUST for any 1) Baseball Fan 2) Simulation and Game Fan

As far as simulations go there really is nothing like it.

I just downloaded OTTP 8 for free. Playing the O's in 1997. I'm upset that my team is stuck in 4th place and that Mike Mussina's ERA is around 5 but it's still fun. I've been wheeling and dealing and now have a 22 yr old Kevin Millwood anchoring the rotation. Look out 1998!

I haven't played in a long time, but used to love an OOTP league that I played in.  Had GMs for all 30 teams, a forum for trade talk and everything.  Was a good time.

I know we don't have a big enough community here to get a full league, but do you think we could get 10-12 people interested and then maybe have each of those people convince 1-2 of their friends to join?

They've come miles since 8.

I'd definitely be interested.

I think doing a smaller league is realistic and I'd be up for it.

I'm in if we do it.  Would honestly be more interested in that than the fantasy league.
