The Ringer: Arizona Star David Johnson Could Miss Significant Time With a Wrist Injury

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports David Johnson (wrist) is expected to miss an "extended period of time," and is a candidate for injured reserve. Rapsheet's report came minutes after ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Johnson and the Cardinals were still considering all the options. Stashing Johnson on injured reserve would cost him at least eight weeks. At the very least, it's looking safe to say Johnson is going to miss this week's game against the Colts. Kerwynn Williams is the priority add for fantasy owners, though Andre Ellington will probably become PPR viable. Ellington has proven time and again he can't stay healthy with an early-down role.

Cardinals’ All Pro CB Patrick Peterson has asked Arizona to deal him by the Oct. 30 trade deadline, per league sources. Peterson feels as if the situation is deteriorating and continues to reaffirm to others that he “desperately” wants out, per source.
