The deadline is now 2 weeks away...Here is some news that is out there right now:

Orlando is leaning towards keeping Howard although if someone throws a big time deal at them, I wonder if that changes?

Also, Orlando is trying to get Monta Ellis, who Howard would like to play with...Problem is, Orlando doesn't really have assets other teams want, so they are going to need to get another team involved. A team I wonder about is OKC, who could use an outside shooter...Redick.

According to Broussard, the Celtics are trying to move Rondo. They have some questions about him and he is their best asset to trade. The Gasol/Rondo rumors have been out there but that doesn't make sense for Boston, if they want to rebuild and have cap space. So, can they find a third team to get involved to take Gasol and send draft picks/young, cheap assets to Boston..and does Boston even want to deal with LA?

I'm very interested to see what Orlando does concerning Dwight Howard. I would say trade him because I don't think there is a good chance that he is returning next year, but basically any team that acquires him is getting a rental with the slim hope of keeping him long-term. I think this is just going to be like last year when teams were trying to clear space for the upcoming free agency class.

Yeah, I saw that he's going to opt in of his contract. Wonder if this means that the Magic are going to keep him. Or it means that teams are going to sweeten the pot more to get him.
