No interest in revisiting and probably never will. Patiently waiting for the books.

It reeks of desperation to me.  Also, he was one of the weakest actors in the series and, discounting any nonsense in s5+, was the portrayal I thought matched the books the least.

Im glad they are doing it.  Huge world they created, with infinite stories which can be told. No reason they only have to do prequels.

Give me the Arya sequel.

Strongly disagree. Maybe it’s because I saw the first season before I read the books but I thought he was one of the best portrayals of a book character. In fact I think they were all perfectly cast.

Not super excited for this sequel show. All of his main story arcs were in the show. I can’t see this sequel creating any plots or stories that would feel relevant. I agree with your other point This just seems like making a sequel just to make a sequel. An Arya show seems more necessary.

It’s the MCU-ification of another popular IP. Makes good business sense and I’ll watch it. No reason to put GoT on a pedestal after that final season.

Since the show was its best when they based it off of source material, I'd prefer they make shows based on things already written. That said I am not against people playing in the GOT sandbox and creating their own stories. Making a show about Jon Snow does feel like the SW problem in that everything so far in a massive galaxy has revolved around the same dozen or so people.

Martin isn't doing the writing for the prequels (and apparently sequel); but he is serving as an advisor and providing guidance.

Had no problem with Benioff and Weiss until the end, when things got a bit rushed.

There are lots of creative, talented people out there who could tell effective stories. Just need to give them the opportunity to tell a full story, and let it develop organically.

I'm really happy to hear there is going to be a sequel.  Always expected it would happen, but nice to see after years of HBO saying nope, not happening.

I know people soured on the show because of the ending, but even if you were completely out on the last 13 episodes (Season 7, and 8), there were 60 hours of really well told, deeply crafted stories.  Obviously that is Martin's source material, but given the interest in the show, the books, and the $ HBO will put into these prequels and sequels... you'd think they could find other talented people to tell other interesting stories with that rich elaborate world Martin created.

I definitely want to see the Arya series of her voyage west.

Cool teaser. I still have faith in the franchise despite how poorly the final season was handled.

I liked it up to the death of the Night King. That was where the series ended for me. In my eyes, there should have been one more season. Season 8 should have been solely focused on the north and dealing with the Night King and his army. With Cersei preparing Kings Landing for a potential invasion from the North. Season 9 should have been the aftermath of the Battle of Winterfell, the March south, the slow descent into madness for Dany, and the eventual end.

I may be in the minority. But I feel like I was good with the end result of the show. What I hated was the obvious rush to the conclusion.

You can tell that Benioff and Weiss have no ability to write a fleshed out story. As soon as they went past Martin's source material, they lost all quality in character development, pacing, and story telling.

The show really went down hill for me with the catch a zombie idea, which was too idodic of an idea to be strongly considered, let alone agreed to.

Yeah I had that sinking feeling during the Long Night episode that the show had lost me. I was obviously going to watch to the end but it stopped thrilling me with that episode. Everything after was a letdown although Clegane Bowl ruled.

You mean it was kinda crazy her losing 2 of her children the show spent 7+ seasons nurturing in a matter of a few episodes?

Just rewatched the show and those final couple seasons were just so rushed. A clear difference in feel and depth as soon as the source material ended.

That said, The Long Night battle was amazing and brilliantly filmed. Loved it. Just not how we got there, and what happened after.
