The Bucs used to have the best uniforms in the NFL and quite possibly pro sports.

Why they don't go back to them I don't know.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Those colors with the flag logo would be great.

I think they got rid of the Creamsicle for a reason.

As for the new Tampa logo, BFD. A tweak and a needless enlargement. Ooh, "a more menacing skull." I wonder if the uniforms will be that much different...some slight color changes and some hideous font action, maybe? I guess we'll see in a couple of weeks. Interesting thing about the helmets, though...I wonder if anyone will try to get the chrome facemasks disallowed for potentially blinding opponents with reflections and thereby creating an unfair advantage/safety issue. Regarding the "Creamsicle" look, I never thought it was bad - clean and classic, actually.

And what was that, besides being synonymous with losing?

I think they're close to the old Denver brown and yellows in terms of looks, but that pirate logo doesn't help.

From an article on SI...

"In 2013 Tampa Bay wasn’t allowed to use its throwback uniform set because of a new concussion-centric rule that didn’t allow teams to use one-off helmets. The Florida orange and white uniform and pants just didn’t match well with a pewter and red helmet, ending any hopes of throwback games. By sticking with the pewter, the fancy plume of Buccaneer Bruce may stay on the shelf a little longer."

So the league feels new helmets are not as safe as used ones which is why a team can't switch helmets for one game. Isnt every helmet new at some point? Sounds like some B.S., appearing to care about safety but not really doing anything. I digress. Throwbacks are fun.

I thought the same thing when that came out, that's an incredibly stupid rule.

I dunno, looks very dated to me.  Not a classic look.

Horrible. Easily the worst uniforms in the NFL.

Taking away the font, they aren't all that bad. I'm not a fan, but it could be a lot worse.

Whomever thought of those numbers, though, should be fired. Although they did lead to a "Immediately several members of the team requested a number change to 80085" joke on Deadspin. So it may have been worth it.
