If he passes through waivers and can be reassigned to where ever, that's fine. I don't see any reason to keep him. If they do, I'll trust in their opinion.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

I cannot imagine another team claiming him.  He'll be outrighted off the 40 man and assigned to Norfolk.

I'd be inclined to agree with you. But then I remember that Chicago signed Matusz. And he was toast by that point. AZ even took a flier on him after Chi. There's always a GM that thinks he'll find a gem in the scrap heap.

Matusz was actually good at one point in his career. Wright has been birdshit caught in your wipers since he was called up.

Matusz got released by a good team, so bad teams took a flier.

Wright got released by a bad team.  If you can't make the cut in this bullpen, there isn't much hope for you.

If the Orioles release Wright for whatever reason, I'm sure another team would sign him to a minor league deal.  But I have a hard time seeing any other team claim him and have to carry him on their 25-man roster.  Maybe one of the few other truly terrible teams would be intrigued by the supposed arm talent.  But with his velocity plummeting this year, I'm not sure even that memory exists.  I think he ends up in Norfolk in a few days.

Connolly:

Orioles announce they have acquired INF Ryne Ogren, 22, from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for RHP Mike Wright. Ogren will be assigned to Class-A Delmarva. He was a 12th rounder last year out of Elon U. From suburban Philly. Has played all INF spots as pro. .229 hitter as pro

Lol. Someone took Wright off our hands? Did they hide all the tape on him?

We just fleeced the Mariners worse than the Bedard trade.

I'll take the .229 Single A utility infielder any day, and twice on any day that ends with a Y.
