Also interesting to see if they go QB in Round 1.
With the way teams that could have been looking to draft a QB trading for one, one of Willis/Pickett will drop into their lap.

Pickett is almost sure to bw there at their pick. They would have to make a move up to get Willis.

I don't think it's a terrible signing. Only $7 million per year for a starting QB. Possibly a bunch more in incentives. If they have to pay the incentives then they obviously got a lot of production from him. He won't take them to the SB, but they have too many holes for that anyway. Their offensive line was terrible, their defense couldn't stop the run, and they are likely losing Joe Haden so they have a hole at CB now.
Smart play would be draft a QB and use some of the capital you saved with Roethlisberger to build up your weak areas. After two years maybe you have a QB on a rookie salary ready to step in and you've plugged up your holes. Could be worse. Seattle traded their QB and is looking at Drew Lock. The Colts traded Wentz and have nobody. A cheap Trubisky is probably as good an option as Winston, Bridgewater, Marriota, or any of he rest of the cast offs.

That's sad about Haskins. He apparently was down in Florida at Mitch Trubisky's home working out with Trubisky, Rudolph, Najee Harris and several wide receivers. He was on his way to the airport to return to Pittsburgh when the accident occurred.

Originally from NJ, his family moved to MD and he attended Bullis High School, Potomac MD.

Love the Khan move. Staying in house takes pressure off of Pickett and keeps some continuity from the Colbert administration. Very excited to see what his first offseason as GM looks next year.
