Take a look at what Mike Locksley's offense could look like in 2013 under C.J. Brown.

Good overview.

There's little doubt the Terps are in pretty good shape regarding skill position players, but it won't matter if they can't get improved line play, particularly once the conference switch is made. Let's hope guys like Maderas and Gray can blossom into top level starters.

Agreed, the line is going to be the unit that makes or breaks this offense. It's sounding more and more like Edsall is leaning towards redshirting Derwin Gray this season since they have Nick Klemm to man the right side for his senior year.

By all estimations, it looks like the line will be:

LT: Mike Madaras
LG: De'Onte Arnett/Silvano Altamirano
C: Sal Conaboy/Evan Mulrooney
RG: Andrew Zeller
RT: Nick Klemm

Glad to hear they're hoping to redshirt Gray. Long term, I think it's the right move. Edsall loves to build through the lines, which is going to help in the Big 10. I really hope with the next recruiting class he really starts to hone in on the D-line. We are thin there and it's going to kill us for the first few years after the switch.

He's going to have a huge amount of D-Linemen in the 2014 class, they're targeting a ton of recruits there. The offensive line is definitely getting better, and the defensive line will get better over the next few years.

I would really like to see more balance year-over-year with regard to how they recruit positions. Especially linemen. When you have to load up on one class due to a shortfall at a position, you inevitably have to do it again down the road, usually because you have so many in one class that you lose a bunch through attrition before they even use up their eligibility. This was one of my biggest complaints during the Friedgen era, and it does not appear to have changed much. Maybe it's just the nature of recruiting linemen, because it doesn't seem like the Terps have ever been thin so frequently at the skill positions, either now or under Fridge.

Recruiting both lines should be the priority of every draft class.
