Looks like Messi may be "retiring" soon.

Its a shame that this match was up against some big time football because it was a terrific match. Philly took a 3-2 lead late in extra time then Gareth Bale tied it for LAFC in the 7th minute of extra time in the extra time period to take it to PKs. LAFC won 3-0 on kicks and has the Cup.

HATE to see Bale score. Do NOT need him on a high headed to Qatar.

If you want to watch all the MLS games this season, it'll cost you $99 (or $14.99 if billed monthly) on Apple's TV app. If you are an Apple TV+ subscriber, the price drops to $79 ($12.99 monthly).

If you are a full-season ticket holder to any MLS club, you can get the subscription for free.

Went to my first ever outdoor soccer game last night. Got tickets from work for St. Louis CITY SCs home opener.

It was a great time. We were a couple sections from their big cheering section where the soccer clubs wave their giant flags. (I don’t know any of the terminology. Are they a club? A social group? Akin to a student section at college football/basketball)

STL won 3-1 so there was a good bit of action. Teams were pretty chippy with each other. I don’t know who #9 is for Charlotte but he was down crying three times in just the first half. Two of those times the medics came out. By some miracle, he was able to finish the match, seemingly at full speed. It’s what I hate about soccer, but 22,000 people booing him was enjoyable.

Tons of fan energy you don’t get from TV viewing. Can only imagine what it’s like in Europe where 50-60k+ are in attendance.

Stadium is brand new. Think it’s great having a soccer specific stadium at max capacity rather than 20k scattered at a football stadium that holds 70k+

9/10 would recommend.
