Jason Smith was the 2nd overall pick in the 2009 draft, but the Rams dumped him to the Jets for Wayne Hunter. Now Smith has been cut by the Jets and is a FA. Smith took 265 snaps this year at both left and right tackle and graded positively in 11 of 16 games. He definitely has the bust label tied to him. But he started the last five games of the season for the Jets and graded well in all of them. Is there value here for the Ravens? Tackle is one position that is sort of up in the air.

At the very least, he is our back up tackle as opposed to guys like Reid and Harewood...that alone gives us value.

If the Ravens liked what they saw, its definitely worth a look.
