And it is official. Butler will join the A10 for this year.

Should be a helluva basketball conference.

2012-13 should be a great year for the A10, and VCU and Butler long-term is nice. Shame about losing Temple, and Charlotte after this coming year though.

Yeah, I'm disappointed about Temple, but losing Charlotte is nothing to cry about. While they had a lot of success prior to them joining the A10, they did next to nothing when they eventually joined.

I'm looking forward to making another trip to Hinkle (hopefully this year) and to play VCU.

Atlantic 10: No matter who the coach is, Xavier just keeps winning year after year. That would be the definition of a good coaching job -- and that's why X was the unanimous pick. VCU was the group's choice for the third spot before Butler's decision to move to the A-10 immediately prompted a re-vote. As for the bottom three, Rhode Island and GW picked up some votes but Fordham's non-stop losing, the Bonnies' remote location and Duquesne's 25-year tourney drought was too much to overcome.
