ESPN: Aaron Rodgers in no rush for new contract

http://espn.go.com/b...or-new-contract

Rodgers took a smart tack in discussing the issue Tuesday on his ESPN 540 radio show, suggesting the Baltimore Ravens' upcoming deal with quarterback Joe Flacco will set the 2013 market -- one that Rodgers will presumably eclipse.

The Packers have extended Rodgers. No numbers are available as of yet, but this is going to be very interesting to see how much he gets. Hopefully he's sending Linta and Flacco about 5%.

Looks like it's 5 years/$110M. That's $22M/year, higher than Joe's average annual salary, but still less than I expected. Still no word on guaranteed portion though.

Maybe it's reduced just a slight amount because Aaron was still two years from free agency.  Seems like a great deal for the Packers.

I can't believe Steven Jackson's younger than me. It feels like he should be about 35, at least.

Still a chance for the Packers to get into the Playoffs, with the tie helping them.

If they get into the Playoffs, Rodgers would give them a chance vs. anyone.
