Hopefully a better O's career than fellow LSU alum Ben McDonald!

Really like that there is still a good bit of projection here from a college pitcher. On my personal preference list he was 2nd only to Correa so I'm quite happy.
Eh, scares me too, because that pick is made BASED on that projection. If he doesn't fill out a bit, I worry about injuries over a pro season. He's a little too lanky for me right now.

@0TheRick0 FB/CH could play out of pen tomorrow, but needs to develop the breaking ball. Best case early 2014.

With Gausman being the choice, wanted to bump this, and let others see Don's Scouting Report.

Good news is that if he does, to go along with his 115 innings at LSU, if he could add another 20-30, we could see him on a plan for 160-170 next year in his first full year.

I would think Frederick as well. Goal of having him finish '13 at Bowie, option for the Majors in early '14.
This.

I'm thinking starts at Frederick, ends at Bowie next year? Option for Majors by early '14?
Sounds like the right plan, but your time table for promotion is probably a best-case scenario. Has some mechanical things to work on and needs to develop the breaking pitch to viability.

I like this pick more with Peterson in the organization.I'm thinking starts at Frederick, ends at Bowie next year? Option for Majors by early '14?

That's what I thought. Be nice to see him get 5-10 starts this year but he only threw about 90 innings last year. He is around 120 now with the season still going. How many innings will Orioles want him to throw? When do picks have to be signed by now?
Mid-July.

They might cap him where he ends at this run in the CWS, depends on how much more he gets in. I wouldn't push it. Send him to Aberdeen to work out but not pitch then bring him back fresh in the spring to send to Frederick.
