We would move the dugout top, and that would allow us to put a 12-foot perimeter around the whole field, which would satisfy the NCAA," Cubs president Crane Kenney said. "That's not an issue with enough time to work on it in advance and would be part of our renovation plan."

Any football games would be scheduled for November, as the Cubs have "reserved October for playoff baseball," according to Kenney.

Right now it looks like the plan is to be vacant during that time period!

Well, that's the the Orioles and Aramark/DNC having to tell people for the past fifteen years that if they want a tour or other stadium event in October it is contingent on potential postseason scheduling. Then, you get to 2012...

It's good to hear that they have a plan to fit in the field. The entire situation around the NW-UI game where the NCAA jumped in and forced the "all drives to one side" thing was ridiculous.
