LOLZ. Laughably mediocre team.

They're the exact same team you told people not to overlook in the playoffs last year.

They're capable.  Great coaches, Great QB (at-least this era).  High quality defense. Good special teams.   Enough offensive options (Pacheco, Hunt, Kelce, Hopkins, Worthy, Smith-Schuster, Gray) to do something. Hollywood Brown is supposed to come back in Dec. Poor offensive line.

You'll probably have to beat them, they don't figure to implode.

They can hang around games, and they have enough going for them (and championship dna) that they find ways to win.
But they're not some unbeatable juggernaut.  They have real issues.

I'm 100% fine if the Ravens have to go there for the AFC Championship.
I'd like to see that myself, and I'd feel great about it.

It really is amazing how many breaks they catch.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

They’re good. They’re also incredibly lucky.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Mahomes aint the best ever. Hes becoming overrated. Helped by refs constantly

That is a bold statement.  The guy has 3 rings.  And when it comes right down to it, that's what really matters.  Statistical wins and awards are great.  Nice things to put on the mantle years from now.  SB rings, that's what you need to validate your career.  Mahomes already has 3.  And the ref thing, the cry of losers.

LOLZ. Laughably mediocre team.

They have been for the last several years.  Come playoff time, they find a way to win.  Every other team in the NFL really would love to do that.

Their consistent "luck" has a lot to do with two things... 1) their QB who makes big plays at big times, and 2) their head coach who manages the game well (timeouts, field position, momentum / feel for flow of the game, balance and lack of predictability, etc) and keeps his team in position to take advantage of opportunities.

The Ravens have a pretty good instance of #1.  The Chiefs have #1 and #2.  That stuff makes a big difference in close games.

Isn't Reid notorious for being bad at clock management? He certainly was in Philly and earlier in his career with KC. Did he finally learn or is it mostly Mahomes? Agree he's a good (HOF) coach, but think it's a hard sell to say he does everything well.

You've got to wonder how many other teams would be fortunate enough to have a game-winning field goal clank off the left upright and then just squeeze through on the right side. Most times that ball would just fall harmlessly to the turf.

Coming into tonight's game, Kansas City had the worst point differential of any 11-1 team in NFL history. I'm guessing the same can now be said of any 12-1 team. Still, they win, which doesn't leave much to if about.

KC has won games now with a doink off of the goal post, a fumble from a team in FG position to win the game, and a blocked FG that could have won the game.

"I would rather be lucky than good."   Not sure who said it, but it is a good point.  The Chiefs have not only been lucky this year, they are getting some players back at the best time.  I'm not betting against them in the playoffs.  They have more clutch players than every other contender combined.

A 7th consecutive trip to the AFC Championship. Crazy.
