Yep and I think we saw who Turg will lean on. The starting 5 and Allen and Aronhalt played the last 10 minutes.

Yep, good point.

I agree with Knoche about this being a good thing, Chris pointed this out last night as well:

Ultimately Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon got exactly what he wanted. His team got a big-time reality check at the hands of a solid team that will probably find itself in NCAA tournament at the end of the season. Stony Brook had a five point second half lead on UConn on the road in Storrs before falling earlier this year. They also boasted an impressive win against 9-2 Canisius. Think that’s not a big deal? That’s the same Canisius team that won by double digits on the road against a good Temple team just two nights ago.

When the game unfolded the way it did, it also allowed Turgeon to work on situations that are hard to approximate in practice. He continually worked on the right combinations on both ends of the floor down the stretch and seemed completely comfortable with the opportunity he ended up having.

It was absolutely a good thing that the Terps got tested late in that game. It wasn;t good that they blew a 20 point lead but ultimately since they won, it was better for them to have been pushed in this game than another cakewalk.
