They couldn't be holding the tournament at the Arena, could they?

If we had the new Arena, that would be great. With the current Arena, I would hate seeing it actually.

Towson's new Arena (opening next year) looks great. Know it will seat just 5k, and the CAA won't want to house the tourney on the campus of a conference member; but the event would be better off there vs. that dilapidated house of horrors known as the Baltimore Arena.

Richmond Coliseum wasn't any better.

I haven't been to the CAA Tournament in a few years, but spent the whole weekend in Richmond 5 or 6 times. It should thrive in Baltimore. The Arena might be a little bigger than needed, but it will still be a great atmosphere.

This just speaks to the great job that the current arena management team does in attracting events. Just imagine if they had a halfway decent facility to sell?

I'm assuming that long-over due upgrades will be in order for this arena. Any idea where the money might be coming for the upgrades.

Still rather impressive that a basketball tournament will be coming to the Balt. Arena. Should be a respectable boost to the businesses around there.

I sure hope there is no money being made into upgrading the existing arena.

I've been to the CAA Tourney in Richmond, and it's a really fun event. Granted, this was with VCU & Old Dominion in the league, and their fans came out in droves, but the league is pretty competitive, and hopefully the Drexel & Delaware people will come down, and the Mason fans and others will come up this way...Very cool!

Even if there were money coming for upgrades, I doubt we'll ever hear that it exists, let alone the source. Because the first logical question is, "Uh...new arena?"

With a new Arena, it would be an event I would be interested in going to.

Going back over the other topic, I guess they would just hold it the first year or two in the Balt. Arena while the new arena is being built. If the new arena is built.

I've heard that the arena is terrible for sporting events. I would hope that a new visual display would be done for the tournament next year, which wouldn't make sense if a new arena is built.

Have you ever been in the Arena?

I've been in the past, but not in a couple years. Been to a few WWE shows and concerts there. Wasn't the best place to go for the events, but decent I guess.
