Cincinnati wins. Why do I get the horrible feeling that the division is going to drag out to the final game against them?

And that is not going to be a fun spot to be in.

Because that's what the Ravens do. It is the organizational philosophy to not make anything easy.

Wow, I knew it was bad, but that's just beyond words. There is no way an OC can keep his job with a stat like that.

If we win 2 more games we win the division. It doesn't matter who it is against. Also, we need 1 more win to clinch a playoff berth. We have tiebreakers over Cincy and Pitt for both the division and wildcard berths. The Steelers and Cicny play one more time so we know one of them is losing 1 more game. Lets assume one of them wins out to get to 11-5, that means we need to win 2 more games to also get to 11-5. If each of them lose one more game than all we need is 1 game to win the division. We clearly still have a firm grip on the division. Still essentially 3 games up with 4 to play.

Listen, this was a bad loss but I look at it this way. You go into the season expecting to split with the Steelers. We did that. We are also very lucky to be 9-3 and be two games up in the division. We could easily be 7-5 ourselves in which case we'd be very unlikely to win the division. The only thing this loss does is really hurt our chances at getting a 1st round bye, maybe hurts our chances at getting a #3 seed as well. I expect NE to win out and Den to win out with the only possible loss coming to us. Clearly, if we lose to the Broncos in 2 weeks we'll be the #4 seed at best.

I'm sure Harbaugh will dismiss the inevitable line of questioning about playcalling after this game, and next week we'll see the same thing.

Seriously, did Rice have a nasty breakup with Cam's daughter or something? I can't come up with a good reason for an OC not to use arguably the best RB in the league.

Suggs hurt his arm at the end of the game too...said he looked like he was in a lot of pain.

Like I said in the other thread, if the local media had the balls they would go after him tonight. They don't and they won't though.

Odd thing is he never did crap like that in San Diego when Tomlinson was the centerpiece of their offense. Or maybe it was just Schottenheimer who kept him in line back then. Paging John Harbaugh.....hello?....anyone home???

This hasn't been brought up, but this team desperately misses Lardarius Webb. Charlie Batch shredded this pass defense today, and it could have been much worse if he hit Wallace in the endzone and Sanders held onto the ball.

Yeah, you are right. Really is the main point, I've edited it in.

As Pierce was getting multiple carries on several drives, I had wondered if Rice was injured. However, that does not seem to be the case.
