Milwaukee and NYY could have playoff spots locked up, who knows how they'll be gearing up. Toronto likely still fighting for a spot.

Milwaukee will still be battling for placement when we play them. Now, NYs spot may be locked in the last 3 games. If thats true they would def be looking to set up their rotation and pen and not risk injuries. Could benefit us for sure. But if we are in contention that last series I wont give a shit if NY goes all out or not

This is big because it's 9 games of 31 left. But I think it's far more likely that the final 22 decide things than the next 9, and that's whether we go 6-3 or 3-6. Maybe someone will eventually run away with this 3rd wild card, but my guess is it's a slapdick stumble to the finish amongst several of these teams. Whichever of the handful of teams that stays close enough has the best final 10 days probably gets it.

Yeah I get the math but 3-6 might be a bit extreme. I think this is our opportunity to not just stay in it but to get the lead. We'll feel a lot better about those last 22 games if we can take advantage of this last soft spot in the schedule.
