I think Elias gets one more year to prove to ownership that a World Series is possible. If most of next season is lost to a strike, then 2028 will be the deciding year. Its insane to think they could grab a wild card slot this year but its still in play. Not that they'd go very far but I could see Elias earning brownie points with Rubenstein if for no other reason than they overcame so many obstacles to reach the playoffs. The front office would love a story like that to hang their hats on.

I said the Tigers were coming when I looked at their run differential. After 100 games I think you get some progression to the mean. They have the best differential in the AL even with Skubal missing a lot of time.

I believe there is supposed to be a total lunar eclipse in the summer of 2029. Due to the unpredictable impact that may have on gravitational forces, we should wait until 2030 to do a fair evaluation.

I don't get it either. Elias gets credit for building a great farm system but that's only half the job. Good GM's balance the farm and the big club and he's falling short keeping the team competitive. Some people act like it's personal when you criticize him. It's hilarious.

Bargain basement shopping is not good enough. There's nothing wrong with pushing all of your chips in when you think the time is right. He struggles with that big time. A top farm system doesn't mean as much when your big league team is struggling.
