Yes, when you take away the amazing 1st half of 2024 hes been consistent til this year. Which isnt over but we all agree he isnt getting to a 120+ OPS this year. But Eeyore wants to drive his own narrative by holding him to that insane 2024 1st half standard
I wanna hold him to that standard, too. If you'd have asked me before this year, I'd have told you I don't think 2024 will end up as his career best year. I think I still think that, but I'm a lot less confident now. I'm still convinced he's a superstar and would use this slump to try and get an extension, but I also don't have any confidence about when or if he'll break out of it this season. I don't think I'd pick him to be over 750 the rest of the way this year. I would pick that for 2027, probably over 800 as well.
