2 double play balls should have been turned tonight that werent. A's cashed in both times. Definition of little things that dont show up in a boxscore.

Baz gives up a double to Kurtz then completely forgets about him at 2b so Kurtz steals 3b standing. Little things. Of course the A's cash him in on a sac fly

I think Baz leads the league in pitch clock violations. This seems inexcusable to me.

It is. Especially given how bad he is at the game.

There’s a guy in our golf group who is like a 37 handicap. Not crapping on him for that, no judgment, we’re just out there having fun. But his pre-shot routine is easily 5X longer than the good golfers in the group, only to top the ball 5 yards or shank it out of bounds. Damn near every time. If you’re going to blow, get it over with ffs.

That's freakin hilarious. If you can't consistently hit the ball, put the woods away and tee off with a rescue club. Hell, only carry a 5, 7, 9 and the wedges with the rescue and a putter.

Taylor Ward lets a ball fall at the wall he could get to and results in a double. Routine play? No but not that hard either.

Just to keep this bumped, Adley caught all 3 games in this series. Including this afternoon after a night game. Big game today offensively too. What a stud. Shame on those who crapped on him the last few years.

I mean, it was fair to be down on his offensive performance from mid 2024 through last season. He had a .585 OPS in the second half of 24. While not terrible, he had a .673 OPS last year and an OPS+ of 90. Lucky for us, he looks a lot like 2022-mid 2024 Adley right now.

He was a 3 WAR player in 2024. He was pacing to come close to that last year if he isnt injuried. I cant help it some people got in their heads he should be the next Mike Piazza. Good baseball player. Always has been. Not to me tion gunning down Yanks too. If pitchers freaking focus on tttp and give him time he is a solid thrower too. He had to rush throws too often and thats why the arm looks suspect at times

That said, depending on where we are in July, we may need to trade him. You cant let him walk for a draft pick if he isnt gonna resign.

Hindsight is 20/35 apparently.

Adley was a JAG from midway 2024 until OD this year. He may have been injured for part of that but he was trending towards bust. Happy as hell to see him back on track. Even seems better throwing out runners too.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Just false. JAGs dont put up 3 WAR seasons. Can we stop freaking exaggerating everything and be factual. You want to criticize Adley last few seasons do it without calling him JAG.

Adley was great, not good, from his debut through June of 2024.  He was genuinely awful in the second half of 2024, it wasn't a fluke.  Last year I think he would have been solid to good, but was hitting into some really bad luck and also obviously missed a lot of time with injuries so he didn't have the opportunity to have that tough luck even out.  The numbers were bad, for sure, though not as bad as the second half of 2024.  This year he's been great again.  Glad to see him bounce back, wish the team looked more poised to take advantage of it.  If you had told me preseason that he'd have a 1000 OPS in mid-May, I'd have not predicted us to be 5 games under 500 at that time.

As you shouldn't have, because they're only 4 games under. :)
