If the D was tighter we could have 2 or 3 more wins right now. Even with the offense being so inconsiatent. If you remember, the first series I was noting that we gave away runs in every game. We absolutely threw away the 2nd game of the Pitt series. Then the series finale against Ari was a s**t show defensively. Yesterday not pretty either. At this point Im ready to put the team out there that can play the cleanest baseball. Run prevention is just as important as scoring runs

Agreed, the team that just beat us 3 of 4 competes because they play defense although Brito at second base is rough.

Just yesterday the Guardians took 3 hits away by playing outfield defense.

I am serious, I want to see if Bradfield can help the outfield.

We're carrying 5 or 6 real outfielders, how about we stop playing infielders in CF first?

I have been posting the same thing for years.  I realize sometimes infielders can make the switch but seemingly the ones we have tried recently can not.

I was just thinking that part of the problem may be all the standing around fielders do with the ridiculous amount of strikeouts in the sport. There's no defensive rhythm because so few balls are put in play. I may be talking out of my ass but I always heard fielders say how much they liked playing behind pitchers who worked fast, threw strikes and made hitters hit the ball.

It hasn't even been a full calendar month since this thread was started. And yet, it's no longer pre-mature to start discussing this in earnest.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

Everyone is available.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?
