Gut: Pete Alonso smacks 50 HRs
Surprise: Trevor Rogers will win 18 games (assuming 20 is impossible).

The reason it seems strange to me, is because injuries in pro sports are seemingly always discussed in depth, sometimes ad nauseum. I just can't remember a time when a player chose not to share anything.
But what if it was something like he got addicted to pain killers and had to go to rehab or he was massively depressed maybe due to the concussion and/or lack of success? I have no idea what it was but have no problem respecting his privacy.

Gut feeling: The bullpen will be a plus as is with several guys stepping up and/or developing into weapons.
Surprise: Dean Kremer doesn't get off to the terrible start like he usually does.

That's totally different from an injury, and understandable, since those are truly personal matters.
Good news! I saw a dog today.

It was never described as an injury, was it. It was only referred to as fatigue as I remember it.

It was referred to as an undisclosed medical condition and fatigue.

Gut feeling. The pen and our outfield defense becomes a problem. I hope I am very wrong.
On the positive side. A number of players emerge and make this Orioles lineup deadly.
I am thing Holliday, Big Sam and Colton Cowser.

That young man doesn't need to discuss any of his medical issues with anyone but his doctor.

Of course, whose saying otherwise?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but didn't you inquire why he hasn't discussed his medical issue from last season?

I said that I thought it was unusual that he doesn't want to discuss it, then I elaborated on that with this comment.

I agree that the BP is gonna end up being a plus. I think the pitching on the whole will be quite good but the defense may make them look worse than they are at times.Gut feeling: The bullpen will be a plus as is with several guys stepping up and/or developing into weapons.
Surprise: Dean Kremer doesn't get off to the terrible start like he usually does.

I don't think it's that unusual.
The guy probably wants to get whatever it is out of his rear view mirror.

Gut feeling: Orioles' pitching will be among the best in the league before the season's over. I've felt this way from the beginning. If a couple of the current staff fail, they'll either trade or bring them up from the minors.
Surprise: if Rutschman bats more than .240-.245.I don't see much power, either.

He hit 254 as a rookie and was one of the best players in the league. Move past batting average, way better ways to quickly describe a hitter's quality.

Dont completely move past BA though. I think it would be wise if the Os put a bit more emphasis on contact and BA.
Mack is right that fans evaluating which players are good should completely move past BA, many other stats are better and give a more complete picture.
What the team would like individual players to focus on is completely different and yeah, if they want certain players to focus more on contact that's fine. I welcome that with Adley in particular.

Adley needs to be a tougher out.Adley doesn't need to hit more than 250. He needs to walk a ton.

Good hitters are generally tougher outs.
He has a good batting eye, so He'll draw some walks If he becomes a tougher out, (i.e. a better hitter) He should draw even more walks.
I agree that He doesn't have to hit much more than .250 to be an impact bat in the lineup. As long his his OPS is a doubles driven one in the .800 range.
