Pick a date on the O's 2026 calendar.

What will we be complaining about then?

Thur Feb 5 when Valdez signs somewhere else. Even though most fans understand the risk. But you know Elias cant keep a promise and cant sign top SPs

April 30th....the team is at or slightly below .500, the bats are underperforming, the starting pitching is erratic with a few blown, bullpen saves.  It wasn't Hyde or anyone else after all...it was that the talent was overestimated and that Elias needs to be fired. You know the drill.

May 7th. Kremer's ERA is near 6.

Maybe the WBC gets him going early and he can avoid his typical slow start, but he's got a ERA over 6 in April for his career, under 4 in all other months combined.

It's late October and the big complaint is how cold the World Series clinching game was.

We could be so lucky.

July 15, at least one person failing to grasp that EBJ's offensive numbers can be absolutely rancid in year one as long as he continues to bat ninth, run down everything in CF and will automatically steal 2nd and 3rd when he does manage to get on.

I like this one a lot.

I’ll say 5/7

June 1 - I'll be complaining about why Boston continues to make moves the O's should have made as Crochet and Suarez form the best 1-2 punch in the AL.

Can you imagine how good this team would be with Crochet and Suarez?

I can squint and see a landscape where Rogers/Bradish > those two

I can squint and see a landscape where Crochet/Bradish/Rogers is the best 3 man rotation in baseball.

3-26: Bottom of the 9th -Twins-5 O's-4. Why is Holliday getting thrown out, trying to steal 3B with 2 outs!

Good news! I saw a dog today.

2/5 - If Skubal wins his arb case, the Tigers are going to flip him to LAD for Sasaki and then workout a deal with Valdez. If Elias gets into a bidding war over a guy whose best days are likely in the rear view mirror? Yikes.

Or 2/5 - If Skubal loses his arb case, Valdez will pivot to those who are still willing to offer him a contract he's willing to sign.

Either way, whether or not Valdez signs here is linked to the Skubal arb hearing.
