Brian Roberts is solid too. So if the 4 of them do all the games we are in good shape

I thought Gregg Olson did well the few times he was on.  Anyone but Dave Johnson.

How close is the road to the stadium?  Looks even closer than at Pimlico.

Ed Smith is in the corner of an old neighborhood and an industrial park so yeah their are all kinds of close roads around it.

Thought Gibson looked very good in his 3 innings of work. His secondary stuff looked especially good, a lot of swing and miss with his slider, sweeper, and curve. I was expecting a little more life on his fastball, but it's still early in ST.

Sinker sat 92, expect it to be 93-95 when he's fully baked. His best attribute is commanding a big mix of breaking/offspeed pitches and he showed it off today.

He kept the ball on the ground and generally induced weak contact. Granted, he was facing AA/AAA players.

Nature of the beast considering he has no shot of making the team. Just handle your business and get built up for the season.

Yeah, everything had movement but he was 92-93 and I think he’s advertised as sitting 94-95 and touching 97 or so.

Didn't throw a single four seamer, maybe ditching it for the sinker completely or just working on something.

Ripken is a bit of a natural as a color guy. Granted, I know he does a lot of podcast stuff, but he just sounds like he belongs in the booth.

Settled down after the 3 walks to start the inning. Had two should've been DP balls then another that surely would've been a DP.

Not sure how I feel about the ABS challenge system yet. I'm sure I'll warm up to it in time but still seems a bit wonky.

Tyler Wells looking sharp. Think he can be a real asset out of the pen.

13 pitches isnt really stretching Wells out. Youd think he would be up around 30 if they were really trying to stretch him

The advanced metrics liked both Wolfram and Enns last year. Wolfram looked good yesterday. Enns looked rough today. Might not be a bad idea to give Danny Coulombe a call.

Looks like Nate George really does run flat out all the time.

Levi Wells has a great arm. Definitely multiple plus pitches. Interesting to see if he can stick as a SP or ends up in the BP.
