This is interesting. After Crowton did not get the Colorado State job, there was some speculation that he would be staying at College Park for another year.

Crowton has previously had a lot of success with his offenses, but this year with Maryland did not go well. I think there should have been greater effort from Crowton (and Edsall) to adjust to what O'Brien was excelling at last year vs. trying to get DOB to fit their offense.
I loved Crowton's offensive tempo in the opener against Miami. The rest of the year, I spent wondering where the adjustments were?
I traded messages with Testudo Times on Twitter earlier today, and they are very excited about the potential of Mike Locksley (http://en.wikipedia....i/Mike_Locksley) taking over the offense. There is no doubt that Locksley would greatly help Terps recruiting, but Locksley's stay in New Mexico was such a disaster, that I have some reservations.

My biggest issue with Crowton (and Edsall is on this as well) has been the handling of O'Brien. Maybe O'Brien himself is to blame some, and admittedly, I was only about to watch about half the games, but they seemed to make no effort to play to his strengths or to work with him at all.
I don't think anyone expected the Terps to be great this season, but a combination of how the play on the field was and how Edsall handled himself off the field has really soured me on the team right now.
