There was Steve Finley between Cal and BRob, but unfortunately only 0.7 WAR as an O.

I wouldn't give them credit for any of the major league development, to the extent we're separating those here. 2025 Cowser is generally considered a failure and he had more WAR in half the PAs.

I get it. I used to do the same thing. It just feels like it's being *overdone* now as a pushback against the Elias criticism.

The reason it seems that way, is probably because there's a platform/forum for these discussions. Moreso than it is a defense mechanism for Elias. Except 2035, of course. He's very different when it comes to any reference to the Prez. Sometimes they bleed into the Orioles specific conversations. Plus, Bob has said that he tends to maintain a very positive outlook on the farm system. Like you, I appreciate the time they put into keeping us informed. Most recently, I asked Bob if he sees Estrada as a starter, or bench guy, because I really want to see Holliday shipped off. So it was cool to get the opinion of someone who can offer more than the cursory player profile or overview.

I think its possible him and Eyanson move up to AAA for a taste next week.

I was actually at the Baysox game today in Richmond (my daughter lives a mile from the stadium and invited us).  They won 3-1 on a Wehiwa Aloy 3-run shot in the 8th inning.  I couldn’t see pitch movement from where I was sitting so I had to rely on the posted speeds. Reilly threw a lot of low to mid 80’s pitches in the first inning - I was beginning to think their gun was way off, but then he started throwing fastballs in the second inning.  He was consistently hitting 93-95 but I did see some 96 to 97 mixed in throughout. He was pulled with 2 outs in the 6th after throwing 87 pitches (62 for strikes). His 86th pitch was 97.6. He only allowed one run to score. I was impressed.  The guy behind me (a Squirrels fan) sang his praises throughout. I heard him say once or twice “why isn’t this guy in the majors?” Aloy looks like a good one. Honeycutt didn’t have to make any difficult plays in center, but I did see him make a couple of pretty good throws.

Reily is a bit of an intriguing arm. Got him from Pitt for Billy Cook. May be a RP but an interesting one if he ends up there. Is he even top 30 in the system. So much depth.

Believe only Estrada and Anderson are headed to Norfolk. Kind of crazy they kept Estrada in AA all year, but he did get off to a slower start.
