Discuss!

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Wow. Awesome news. Glad to see the O's spend some real money to bring in top talent to compliment the homegrown players we have. It's nice to have ownership back up their words with actions for once!

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Wow, 5/155M, no deferrals or opt outs. I said in another thread that I wasn't really looking forward to him in particular, but I give credit to Elias for going for it and closing the deal.

Go get a starter.

Curious to see the contract but I was fine with 5/150. I see it’s 5/155. Dude is a true cleanup hitter. Hopefully, the defense isn’t as bad as the numbers but you take the bad with the good. Super interested to see what happens to Mayo, Mountcastle, and O’Neill. One definitely has to go. Maybe two.

I love this move.  It may wind up being a year too long but it sends a message that this is no longer the Angelos Orioles.

Great job by Elias and Rubenstein.

Get 2 starters and another leverage guy for the pen and let's go.

I told my sons I was waiting to spend on season tickets.  I will do it now.

Buckle up, a good starting pitcher is next.

If Mounty owns a house anywhere around here, I guess we'll be seeing the For Sale sign soon.

Alonso isn't a great defensive first baseman, so I'd expect he and Basallo will ultimately split time at first.

LEGGO. This ownership group was antsy AF to spend. Just knew we were leaving Orlando with a signing. No problem giving him essentially the same as Schwarber. He is a true cleanup guy. Needed.

I think both Mayo and Mounty go.  Does Mayo and a prospect get us Edwin Cabrera.

I think the Alonso deal will have a domino affect on the Oriole roster.

Mayo will go in a trade. Probably already have something in motion. Mounty too, but realistically I dont know what you can expect as a return.

They have gone this far.  Get 2 starters and a BP guy then they can enjoy Christmas.
