Every other play, someone is hurt. That's why this sport is becoming unwatchable.
Injuries happen this time of year and in this weather. Yesterday was especially brutal.

Robinson might be one of those keepers on defense to go with Hamilton, Wiggins, Starks, Jones.
100% IMO.
He is very physical and it seems to spread to the rest of the team. I said when he went down it was a big loss. They will get a deal done with him.

I got a friend, who wants to argue that Henry is not a HOF player. I enjoy pointing out that he has no idea what he is talking about. Henry is a first ballot guy.
Especially in an era of running back committees, shorter careers and pass heavy offenses.

He went in the Harbaugh doghouse last year.
He kind of earned his way in there, but he has been better this year.
Buchanan looks the better player though. It sucks that he tore the ACL.

Eh, we went 1-2 without Lamar.
2-1 equals first place. See how that works?

I think the return of Robinson and Washington are game changers for this defense both physically and mentally. Hopefully Trenton Simpson isn’t too much of a drop off from Buchanon. This defense definitely has something to build off of.

We don't have a Bob Sanders coming back to ignite our defense. lol
Certainly not but Robinson and Washington can certainly contribute and allow some different and varied uses of other guys on the defense.

What did he do? Buchanan has been better of late, but he is frequently late to tackles and he is not good in coverage. As far as I can tell Simpson is a much better cover LB and he seemed to be in good position to make tackles most of the time. If he lost time it must be for something that is difficult to discern on film (like he didn't know the playbook and took the wrong assignment etc.)

I'm no scout or film expert, but Buchanan has always looked like the superior player to me than Simpson other than the last game of 2023 when Simpson was amazing against Pittsburgh and got everyone excited heading into 2024. I don't think Trenton has flashed like that since. Buchanan is a noticeable step up, IMO.

Agreed.
Did think Simpson looked better yesterday than he has previously (bar was low, he was a mess last year).

Injuries are constant no matter what the weather is. Every week, you just hold your breath and hope someone isn't lost for the season or an extended period of time. It's almost a miracle that Lamar has played 8 years and hasn't torn his ACL or Achilles. It's just getting ridiculous throughout the sport. Look at the Chargers- they practically had their whole OL wiped out. Fans are paying good money to watch what? Back-up quarterbacks who know ones even heard of? You're old enough to remember how players almost always played the whole season. Maybe they missed a game here and there but what you saw in training camp, is what you saw all season for the most part. Sure, there's exceptions like 1968 when Earl Morrall filled in for Unitas but that didn't happen often. Players today are just too damn big, fast and strong. Getting hit is like being hit by a car. Then you have to deal with the carnage of someone just running a passing route and collapsing to the turf in agony without even being touched. Sorry for the rant but I look forward to football all Spring and Summer and it really annoys me that a whole season can be lost because of this crap. Maybe the Ravens still go 3-3 in their first 6 games with a healthy team but they sure as hell wouldn't have gone 1-5.
