Man, it was good to hear Joe Buck back doing Baseball last night, what a natural. I know ESPN isn't as involved doing games anymore, but I hope that wasn't a one off.

Garrett Anderson passed away suddenly at 53.

Damn shame. He was a great player and by all accounts a good guy.

Imai already on the IL with a phantom injury. Says he cant adjust to USA. You cant take chances on most of these guys. Sasaki is another example. These guys need to be as clean and polished as possible. Yammamoto was that and he got 325 mil as proof. Dont take chances on these other bums. Not relying on them as key pieces anyway. Giving Imai a rotation spot woulda somehow been worse than Bassitt

Imai will get healthy, and his stuff will be immensely better than Bassitt.

Imai... 3 starts...first horrible, second good, third left with the injury.

Will say, he has cried a lot since the start of ST about the differences.

He made the decision to come.
He will have to work through the adjustments.

The word around here, is that he's having a hard time adjusting to the weather. What he doesn't know is that Houston weather hasn't even started yet. It's gotten into the low-mid 80's a few days. He'll need an oxygen tank when the real heat and humidity comes to town.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

Don’t they close the roof when it’s insanely hot?

ESPN: MLB 2026: Early-season stats and numbers we're watching

https://www.espn.com...os-mets-red-sox

Jeff Passan: 9.9%. The walk rate in MLB is hovering around 10%, a historically high figure that represents a 16% spike in bases on balls since last season. It's a staggering number, higher than every season but three -- 1948, 1949, 1950 -- in MLB's century-and-a-half history. So what's happening? Certainly the automated ball-strike system, which has standardized the strike zone and taken away pitches previously called strikes, has something to do with it. Beyond the challenges themselves, everyone -- pitchers, hitters, umpires -- is adjusting to a new zone, and that's the sort of thing that changes behaviors.

Ouch. Isn't he a FA too?

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

They all break. If teams were smart they would collude and never give a FA pitcher more than a 3 yr deal

Should be back in 2-3 months. I'm sure some team will still give him a stupid ridiculous FA deal.

Who else had the loose bodies surgery recently? Was that what Grayson had?

If Skubal comes back and pitches at the end of the year tis probably doesn't cost him much if any money. Even if he doesn't return, I'd guess that he'll still get the biggest pitcher contract in history.

This could be a huge blow to the Dodgers' 2027 rotation.

Correa out for the year. Having ankle surgery. Wasnt it his ankle or foot that caused SF to back out of the deal with him?
