I was referring to their spot in the draft order, not win total.

Oh gotcha. Yeah drafting between 3-7 feels right.

Bain is likely a Top 5 pick, maybe even #1 depending on who is at the top and their QB needs. Hard to envision things going that bad when you look at how awful some of these other 0 and 1-win teams are. Feels more like 6-10 range if Lamar doesn’t return, and 11-16 if he does.

Hence the tank for Bain. Too early to know the true top 5. Depending on workouts, Jeremiah Smith could find himself as the #1 overall.

They will not tank. Not in their DNA. Doesn’t mean they won’t be really bad, but it won’t be an organizational goal.

Neither is being a historically bad defense and yet here we are.

I agree that they won't "tank," but they may just stop trying so hard.

Gotcha. Bain would certainly be a dream pick, but hard to envision it happening.

What defensive back will be available with that pick?

Caleb Downs will inexplicably fall and the Ravens will swoop him up.

I mean if you make Hamilton a LB. Lol

Honestly, many think Downs is a top 5 or so player like Hamilton was….so if he falls all the way to 14 like Hamilton how do you not take him and just figure it out?

Yeah he is versatile AF. A real coordinator would figure out how to make both playmakers

The Raiders will draft Indiana's Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick next April. Mendoza will announce shortly afterward that he plans to enter the transfer portal.

Will he end up at Baylor?

ESPN: Kiper Mock 1/21

https://www.espn.com...-1-quarterbacks

Makai Lemon, WR, USC

Lemon is one of my favorite prospects in this class. He attacks the ball in the air, and you can see his competitiveness in the way he plays the game. Like Zay Flowers, he's on the smaller side at 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds. But also like Flowers, he still has inside-outside flexibility. Lemon went for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns this past season, and that kind of production could help get Lamar Jackson back to MVP levels.

Kiper's a tool.

Go get an EDGE guy (Bain out of Miami should be there at 14) or bulk up the IOL.

Kiper is the man.

Agree about targeting the lines.

Akheem Mesidor, Peter Woods, and Caleb Lomu look like viable options to me.
Maybe the Ravens can move back and get them.

I don't see any way Bain is there at 14. If he somehow is, EDC should sprint the card to the podium himself. He's arguably the best player in this draft.

Now, I felt the same way about Hamilton and he fell too 14. So maybe they get lucky twice. But edge is also a more in-demand position.

Here's at least one mock where Bain is available at 14.

Don't waste a 1st round pick on a wideout (I've seen a few mocks suggesting that tonight). Get the EDGE you need or go IOL or DT. The Bucs have done a great job picking 2nd and 3rd RD to supplement Evans (though Egbuka was a first round pick).

Lamar makes wideouts better. The trick is to collapse the opposition's QB pocket.
