Boo this thread all you want, but you’re only in denial if you think it’s too soon to start the conversation.

This looks like it could be a solid class of DL/Edge guys in the 1st Rd, and right now that feels like the biggest need.

It isn't too early.

A dominant interior lineman or a left tackle would be front and center on my list for sure.

Best lineman available (includes edge), either side.

Can they draft a new defensive coordinator?

I think we are beyond the point of only needing to replace Orr, but that’s for a different thread.

Get a top 3 pick. Then trade back a little bit and pick up the extra 1st next year. Just gotta hope the QB class ends up strong

If you are referring to the ‘26 class, there don’t appear to be any franchise-changing QB prospects right now.

That won't stop them from getting drafted like they are.

I mean...I fully believe that if he didn't come with Deion baggage he would have gone in the first, but maybe I'm wrong.

I think he largely dug  his own hole. Wasn’t self aware enough that he’s not good enough to back up the talk the way his dad did.

Very possible.

Cam Ward is already throwing his team under the bus so I have a hard time believing he's any more mature or self-aware. The difference may be perception as much as reality.

Deion told the Giants or somebody he didn’t have to interview with them cause he’d be gone by time they pick. Shedeur thought he was the same kind of prospect.

Tank for Bain.

Bain is likely a Top 5 pick, maybe even #1 depending on who is at the top and their QB needs. Hard to envision things going that bad when you look at how awful some of these other 0 and 1-win teams are. Feels more like 6-10 range if Lamar doesn’t return, and 11-16 if he does.

I don't think they're getting anywhere near 6 wins if Lamar doesn't come back.

I wonder what a team might give up for Henry. 3rd rounder?

No way. 6th, maybe 5th if it’s a team that expects to be near the bottom of the round.

I was referring to their spot in the draft order, not win total.

I bet they might be able to find someone who is convinced he puts them over the top. 6th seems low, but maybe not.
