After suffering their first loss of the season against Washington, Maryland remains at home to face off against Nebraska on Saturday afternoon. The Cornhuskers have an identical 4-1 (1-1) record to the Terps, and are coming off of a 38-27 victory over Michigan State. This will be their first conference road game of the season. Offensively, they're led by a Top-10 passing attack nationally orchestrated by sophomore QB Dylan Raiola. Defensively, they've allowed the fewest passing yards in all of college football.

Maryland is 1-2 all-time against Nebraska, winning their last matchup in Lincoln by a score of 13-10 in 2023.

Nebraska opens as 5.5-point favorites in this game, and ESPN gives them a 66.7% chance to win.

This feels like the spot where you bet Nebraska giving a TD or less

They're 3-3 coming off of their first loss of the season under Locksley, but when they do lose those games they typically get annihilated. Average margin of those three losses is 37 points. Average margin of victory in the three wins is 10 points.

QB Justyn Martin, WR Josiah McLaurin, TE J.T. Taggart, OL Jaylen Gilchrist, and DB Lloyd Irvin III are officially listed as out for this game. RB Solomon Foye has been added to the season-ending injury list, while WR Zymear Smith, DL DD Holmes, DL Bryce Jenkins, and DL Nahsir Taylor will return to action.

Nebraska will be without starting nickel cornerback Malcolm Hartzog, Jr., and starting left tackle Elijah Pritchett is listed as questionable.

Had a nice stop to get the ball back, and had a good 3rd down pick up.

Stopped on 3rd and 9 here...   4th and 5 coming.

8 minutes left in the 1st.

4th and 5.... MD goes for it... Washington runs... and he runs out of bounds trying to stretch vs. turning up and picking up the 1st.

Really poor awareness from Malik on that fourth down scramble. Wound up a yard short.

3rd and 12 is incomplete, and MD will have to punt.

That’s twice now that Malik has made horrendous reads on option plays.
