If The Ravens Start 3-3...?

5-1 or 4-2 are acceptable because it's the NFL and it's hard to win every game even if you're the better team.
3-3 and things are going bad. The season is not over but we are no longer the juggernaut we thought we were. There's plenty of time to turn it around but they would almost have to run the table to meet preseason expectations record wise.

I no longer expect them to win a Superbowl because they've shown they just turn into a pumpkin in October, so I guess it's whatever. The season is more fun without any expectations, and I expect nothing at this point.

Theyre playing 3 of the 4 best teams in football who are now yearly superbowl contenders, a division foe with a good defense, and two likely playoff teams.
3-3 would be a win.
The Ravens are all of that too. Buffalo and KC aren't looking at the Ravens as pushovers. Not sure why you are.
Actually maybe I do.

Not a pushover, but they should, and do, play them with extreme confidence knowing that they will find a way to beat themselves when the games mean the most. The Ravens are all of that too. Buffalo and KC aren't looking at the Ravens as pushovers. Not sure why you are.

I certainly don't expect the kind of beating we gave Buffalo last year but sure, I could see the Ravens winning by 10 points Sunday night.

Havent we beat Buf in the reg season the last 2 or 3 times we played them. Maybe more. My memory is bad. Even if your argument is they find this supreme confidence against us because its the playoffs that wouldnt have anything to do with a reg season game.
Yeah, but I couldn't care less about the regular season. We could easily beat Buffalo on Monday and it wouldn't change how I'd feel about the Ravens if I'm on the Bills. Come the playoffs I'd still be thinking about KC as the real challenge, with the Ravens as a speedbump along the way.

This is why you piss people off because you set yourself up to "win" either way. If the Ravens do start 3-3 or worse you will want to tell everyone you predicted it. Tough teams, cant beat the better teams consistently, etc . If they win you will simply dismiss it and say it doesnt matter as they cant do the same thing in the playoffs

Thats what this thread is about. The reg season. Its what youve been arguing

I think I've been pretty clear. I would not be disappointed with 3-3. I think it's pretty respectable given the level of competition. I will stick to that.
I just dont care about the regular season with regards to anything that happens in the playoffs because it has shown over and over to not mean a damn.

Um, you need to win enough games in the REGULAR SEASON to make the PLAYOFFS. SMDH

But the thing is, your history shows that if the Ravens are struggling or mediocre in the reg season you will be quite active posting. If youre apathetic abut the reg season then keep the same energy whether they are 9-0 or 4-5.
I don't think this is true.

I'm confident they will do this if Lamar is healthy.

3-3 to me means they're competitive with the best teams in the sport. That's a win to me.

Think some Orioles muscle memory kicked in here lol

Ravens are too good to start 3-3. Loss in Buffalo is no worry. It hurts when it comes to #1 seed, but Buffalo is a good team that is 22-2 in their last 24 games in Buffalo. Loss at KC is a little more troubling, but not a sign of trouble. But any other loss would be at home to either Detroit, Houston, Cleveland, or the LA Rams might be concerning. Certainly 3 of those 4 could be playoff teams, but all are at home. 3-3 isn't troubling, but with two left against Pitt, two left against Cincy, and road trips to GB, Minnesota, and Miami, 3-3 might pretty much kill their chances at hosting more than one playoff game.
For a team that is being given as many props as the Ravens are this year, 4-2 is the least to expect.

Ignore the preseason hype. Writers just need something to write about. I think 4-2 is the best that can be reasonably expected. A loss to KC is a virtual certainty, and it isn't fair to expect them to sweep Buffalo, Detroit, LA, Cleveland, and Houston. It's the NFL - that's not fair to expect of any team.
