If so they probably lost to the Lions, Chiefs, and Bills. They were 5-3 last year with 2 much worse losses. Or they beat one or more of those teams, who are all supposed to be SB contenders. So it's not ideal but it's fine.

Still on the O's bandwagon after this season, so no chance I'm jumping off the Ravens anytime soon.

And honestly, I wouldn't be shocked. They started last season 0-2 and one of those games was against the Raiders at Home. And 3 of the 6 games are 3 of the better teams in the NFL. 3 of which would surprise no one if they made it to the Superbowl.

A bit of missing context as well would be the manner in which they lost as well. If they're getting outmatched and just looked bad on top of being 3-3, I'd be worried.

First 4 are brutal, including road games at Buffalo and KC. No, I'll be just fine as long as the team is healthy and heading into the bye at 3-3.

Not at all.  They are running the gauntlet the first 6 games.  If they go 3 and 3 they should be ready for a good stretch after the bye.  

There are going to be a couple of games that may not go our way the first month and a half.

I was going to reference the Orioles too.  I am staying up watching west coast games so that shows how much I am lost.

@BUF and @KC are the only ones I'm worried about and I think we win at least one of them.

 

3-3 wouldn't be the end of the world but I think 5-1 or 4-2 is more likely.

 

All of this assumes that Lamar is healthy of course.

In those first 6 games, they'll be a slight dog in two, and a slight favorite in three. 

 

I also think they'll likely be 4-2... but 3-3 is possible. 

I agree that context matters (how are they playing, are they consistently losing the same way, have there been significant injuries, etc)... but if they're 3-3, I expect a whole lot of people locally and Nationally will be prematurely writing them off.

 

Should be a fun year, excited to watch it unfold.

Looks like they're now favored on ESPN Bet. 

I was thinking both the gambling line, and ESPN's Match-Up Predictor.   (Currently the Bills given a 51.4% chance of winning.)

There's always going to be those one or two games during the season where you just scratch your head in disbelief how they could possibly lose them.  But there's also games where you're almost certain they're going to lose and they wind up blowing the opposition out. We always say the Ravens are their worst enemies and 2025 is no different.  They'll probably crap the bed with turnovers and penalties and lose when they absolutely shouldn't have.  That's what makes a 17-game schedule such an emotional roller coaster.  Nobody's going 17-0, that's for sure.  But I'm definitely looking forward to the ride, whether they go 3-3 or not.

I understand the Ravens have had their share of postseason stumbles but they've been a top 3 team in the regular season in the Lamar era. The Ravens have, arguably, the best roster in football. Splitting the first 6 games would not be a "win" in any shape, form, or fashion.

Theyre playing 3 of the 4 best teams in football who are now yearly superbowl contenders, a division foe with a good defense, and two likely playoff teams.

Those reasons make 3-3 acceptable, basically what I said above.

 

If 3-3 is a win though then you simply aren't all that good and don't expect to be a super bowl contender. If those are your expectations that's fine, but that means you shouldn't be whining about the playoffs anymore, deal?
