Early? Game started at 8. Day’s half over by then my friend!

Awesome win, great way to close out the games!

5am here. But full disclosure, didn’t start watching until about 6 and DVR’d through the breaks.

Ha, you don't live in Minnesota.  It's the only sport they care about really.

 

USA USA!  Great game, and good way to get back in form for waking up early right before the F1 season.

I think you are pretty mistaken if you think we don't care about hockey.

This has been a long time in the making. The golden age of US born hockey is finally here. Youth hockey has exploded even further since COVID, and it was already doing great. May be about to go on a little run over these next few Olympics.

Agree about the 3v3 thing btw. With those stakes. Kind of crazy.

Really, really wish BAL had a hockey team.  Really enjoy the sport but just too hard to follow without a rooting interest and I just can't bring myself to pull for a DC team (I know it doesn't make much sense but such is fandom).

 

I keep saying one year I'm just going to pick a team to follow and really get into it but it nevre happens.

When I grew up there we had the Clippers. Once I got my drivers license I went to a lot of games. Way more than stupid basketball....lol.

I’ll never root for a DC team regardless of the optics! That being said, since I live in Florida, the Lightning are only 50 minutes away so they are my team! Now, Bucs and Rays no thank you but since Baltimore doesn’t have a hockey team, I feel no guilt in supporting them. Not to mention we have a nice group of clients always willing to host us in their cushy Corporate Boxes

Hockey is like soccer for me. I know the games and passively follow the leagues, but only get locked in for international competition. Probably can be traced back to not having a Baltimore team in either sport to grow up rooting for, but can always get behind Team USA.

Overall a great Games put on by the Italians!  Always a little bummed when it's over.

 

US takes second to Norway both in gold and overall medal count.  They also set a new national record for golds at a Winter Olympics with 12, and 2035 still won his bet, so good news all around

 

Some favorites fell a little short but others stepped up in an awesome way, and finishing with both the women and men taking the hockey gold was awesome.

 

Now the long 2 1/2 year wait for the summer Games.  I'll try not to let myself get pre-annoyed at the disproportionate amount of coverage that American outlets will give to Flag Football.
