Weird that Olympic hockey does the 3on3 OT and shootout.

3 on 3 hockey is wild man!

Wolfdog finishes XC ski race with two competitors and gets a photo line finish as well.
Another dog gets loose on the slalom course and they film it like it's competing as well!

Nice beating Canada at their own game for two gold medals.

Just like soccer. Goalies rule. If by some miracle we pull this out in OT every US player needs to give their gold medal to Hellebucyk
That dude was incredible.

3 on 3 to decide a medal (much less a gold) is about as bizarre as it gets.

I have to agree.
I think a 20 minute straight period of OT before the shootout would have been more appropriate.
That said, glad team USA won no matter how the rules were structured.

I’d have been fine with a 10 minute OT and then the shootout. The shootout (hockey in particular) is a fantastic way to decide things once you’ve exhausted extra time.

Suspect this finally takes the choker label off Hellebuyck. Dude carried them on his back all game.

Also, every important USA Hockey match needs to be scheduled on February 22nd going forward, without fail.

Man I love this. Worth waking up early for.
Early? Game started at 8. Day’s half over by then my friend!
Awesome win, great way to close out the games!
