Put Holliday in the OF and let Jackson go at 2B.

I'd be fine if they tried it, but honestly the way Holliday seems to be inexplicably bad at basically everything other than hitting, I'd be kinda shocked if he was able to learn how to track fly balls.

Yep, pretty much exactly where I'm at.  I hope the bat comes around because frankly other than that he seems like not a very good baseball player.  I can't see him being a good OF.

As for Jackson (Jeremiah that is)...I'm all in on him for now, but let's see how he looks next spring.  MLB history is filled with guys who had a crazy good pop-up season out of nowhere.  I'm fine penclling him in for a spot on next year's team but I'd have a pretty quick hook next spring if he looks like the same guy he was before this year.

Holliday is certainly a work in progress, but I think we are going to like the final version.

I don't know if this is an apples to apples comparison, but Holliday is bad at tracking pop ups when he's at 2B. I'm skeptical of a successful move to CF.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

I have thought of Holliday in CF, but I want to keep letting him grow at 2B.  I think some of his issues get magnified here.

I don't think they're magnified, just oft repeated by a group of people who watch him play. I had no idea what to expect of him defensively. I assumed he would be MLB level caliber, given who his father was and that he grew up around the game at a professional level. But he just isn't. I truly wonder how he could have played the sport for his entire life, and not have accidentally developed some defensive or baserunning skills.

That's what's been shocking about his game. Was his bat that good coming up that it masked all of these deficiencies in his game. I'm hoping for some improvement because he's definitely a hard worker but I can't see him developing into an outfielder.

2B is probably the easiest defensive position to play (maybe 1B is easier). You have all day for the ball to get to you, compared to 3B, 1B and SS. It requires zero arm strength and very little range. And he still looks and grades below average. The biggest challenge of 2B is timing the double play. If we're going for Felix Pie level comedy, by all means, they should give him CF.

Yes, but after several days, I don't quite remember why I'm doing it here :D

This isn't how the defensive spectrum works at all, though.

Do you mind elaborating for me?

Oh, I see. Sorry, I wasn't following you on that. I'd argue that sequence, maybe not adamantly, but I'd want to dig in to it a bit. I guess I just consider the OF to be a more demanding set of positions. Maybe that's because I was always primarily an IFer, and rarely had to patrol the OF, so it seemed more difficult when I did. :)
