Reimold with a couple of hits in his first action of the year... Buck pointing out the quality defense he had tonight.

He was picking it up at the end of ST. Good to see.

Really nice play cutting the ball off in the 8th, with Bundy on the hill.  Kept the runner at first which allowed CJ to shut the door a few pitches later.

Nolan's skill set when healthy, is a real need on the Orioles.  He works a count, gets on base, and can still run.

Plus, he can hit the ball hard and has a pretty good arm... so, good hitter, very good eye, good contact with some power, still has enough speed to make IF'ers hurry on an IF GB, has a good arm, and he works hard... he's just not great at knowing exactly where a flyball is going, but other than that...

If he's healthy he's a great reserve outfielder.

Surprised Chris hasn't bumped this more recently given his eternal optimism in Nolan, but he's been right on the money so far this year.

14 PA in 5 games (4 starts).  357/357/786/1143 with a HR and three 2B.

Be great to see everything come together once for Nolan, and for him to have one big year...  Pearce '14 esque. He finally looks right.

He always looks right.  Dude looks like the absolute protypical baseball player you'd design if you were designing one from scratch.  I know what you mean, though.

It's been so rare that he's been both productive and healthy.  Agree completely that if both those things happen, he can make as big of an impact this year as Pearce did in 2014.

I know we have both LONG been on the Nolan train, it's always just a matter of if he can stay healthy.

He's such a good guy too, you can't help but root for him.

I think he does tend to get rather poor jumps/reads in the OF but one thing he has always impressed me with is his ability to run down those groundball hits in the OF gaps and limit the base runners.

Probably one of the top 3-5 all around offensive players on this team.

Just be nice if he can stay healthy and get 400+ at bats.

Agreed. Such an easy swing but that ball was crushed.

With Kim doing well it appears we have a good problem. Time to curtail Rickard a bit at this point.

If you were one of the folks who thought the O's were dumb for fooling with Reimold again... "that ship has sailed", etc... has Nolan changed your mind?  Or do you think he's soon gonna slip in the shower and be out for 2 months?

There's no reason we should expect continued health with him which makes it inexcusable not to get from him everything possible while he's contributing.

I think you pretty much have to be worried that he'll get hurt again, but regardless, he's shown that he was worth the minor risk of bringing him back.

Always thought the injury tag was a bit inaccurate if you really look at what's happened to him historically... but the ultimate bottom-line is that he's in his 30s and has never played a full year.

All that matters right now is that he's healthy, available, and one of the best options.  Play him until part of that equation changes.
