I'm still not expecting too much from a guy who's spent the entire season on the shelf. Hopefully he's 100% and able to contribute, but he's going to be well behind the pitchers at this point in the season, and may take some time to knock off that rust. The good thing is that it isn't likely that he'll be a worse option than who we've been sending out there anyway.

3/9 so far for Frederick (all singles).
I say get him up here for Friday! The Rockies aren't starting any lefties the whole series so it's the perfect time to get him back. Even if he's still not 100% up to speed he's probably better than what we've been getting at DH against RHP.

And it gets him acclimated to big league pitching again more quickly. The sooner the better, provided he's actually healthy.

He's 0-for-9 since being activated. Not the largest sample size I know. When I've remarked before how fortunate the O's have been injury-wise. A response that appeared was the O's were missing his bat against righties.

The O's absolutely missed his bat against righties this year. Not sure how 0-9 in his return from a season-long injury disputes that in any way.

There were reports that said he wasn't ready when his rehab was up.

Yeah that is what I was suspecting by the length of his rehab stay.

My favorite Wilson Betemit memory -- being at the game against the A's where he hit the walkoff homer in the 9th!
