Gunnar Henderson 1-3 last night, hit the ball hard and made some diving attempts on defense with no issue. Removed late as planned.

 

Dylan Carlson and Vimael Machin stayed hot after spring training, Carlson 2-4 with a homer and Machin 2-3 with a walk.

 

Samuel Basallo hit a ball 115 mph but right at the second baseman.

Just don't understand why they put Gunnar on the IL then play him in the minors? If he can play he should be with the big club.

Rehab is incredibly normal. He had basically no spring. He’s eligible the 3rd I think.

Still got plenty of talent there.... Basallo, Mayo, Beavers, Fabian. They also have Soto, Cameron, Machin though not exactly prospects.

The pitching in AAA has been a disaster the past couple of years, though.

Guess they wanted to wait an extra day. He could've been the difference today but I guess I understand playing it safe.

Playing what safe? Flying on an airplane. He had already played several games at AAA. Not sure what purpose waiting a day would serve?
