It didn't occur to me that the starting rotation are all righties
Good news! I saw a dog today.

Its so early but there is also not really any roster battles without injury or trade. I could squint and see Suarez not making it if he has a bad spring but thats still quite unlikely

Its a roster that could still be good enough. Especially if they can stay close until they get GRod back and then later this year Kitteridge and Wells/Bradish. But the margin for error has gotten slimmer.

Still 17 days until OD so I'm not giving up hope. Wish our local beat writers weren't so terrible so they could keep up with injury updates.

This I agree with.
I think they're the best team in the East; but there is a path where things go off the tracks.
What happens with Grayson is big.

Pretty disappointed that it's sounding possible that Gunnar could begin the year on the IL.

I don't subscribe to the Sun. Be nice if the MASN guys kept up more.

That Bautista quote from Hyde is a little worrisome too. I dont think there is anything wrong with him but it sounds like they may want him to build up further in the minors. I would guess the thing with him is he isn't going to be available often early in the season. Do you keep him in the pen if hes unavailable 2 out of every 3 days??Pretty disappointed that it's sounding possible that Gunnar could begin the year on the IL.

All Gunnar should need is about 3-4 days before Opening Day. 12 ab's, some time in the field.
If he gets that, he should be good.
If they want to slow play him 10 days, fine.

If he's feeling good enough to swing a bat, he should be out there once the real games start. I'll take rusty Gunnar over ready to go Livan Soto.
Absolutely. Once he's healthy enough to go, go with him, rust or not.
If you believe that giving him an extra week would reduce his chances of agitating things and potentially missing more time... I get that.

"Unsure of the timetable" = probably shouldn't count on him for Opening Day
Also notable is that Holliday is playing SS tonight.
