Why on earth would they let Gillespie have that shot? He's been total doo doo butter all night.
Not much time to be super selective. He was open and close, gotta shoot that.

We have a baseball team, football team and a cbb team all with very good to great talent and all any of them want to do is be soft and choke

Not a bad loss on paper but obviously disappointing to have it go like that. But OSU was always going to make a run. Not going to kill them for losing on a banked 3 of all things.
But the lack of a lockdown perimeter defender continues to be their undoing and eventually will sink them this year. They've got no answer when an opposing guard starts feeling it. Willard put DHS in and Thornton flew by him like he was standing still.

You can't blow a 17 point lead period. At home or on the road. You can't blow an 11 point lead with under 9 minutes to go. It's not like this was a Duke game in the early 00's where the refs would refuse to call anything on Duke and would call breathing too close to the opponent on MD.
Still waiting for Queen to look dominant offensively against a quality team with guys at or near his size. Feels like everyone has watched the film on him and knows what he does well and doesn't do well at this point. The mouthguard chewing is becoming nothing but a gigantic irritant to me.

Refs were bad, but the players didn't help themselves with some of these terrible fouls that they committed.

It happens more often than you think. At home and on the road, college and pro. I'm not trying to make excuses, I just think we label these things as "collapses" when in reality there's a reason games are 40 minutes long. Really at no point last night did I think that was a "safe" lead.
That said, certainly it did seem like they got away from things in the 2nd half offensively that they were doing well in the 1st half.
