After picking up their first road victory of the season against Illinois, Maryland remains away from home to face off against Indiana on Sunday afternoon. The Hoosiers currently hold a record of 14-6 (5-4), and have lost three of their last four games to Iowa, Illinois, and Northwestern. Mike Woodson's squad was ranked as high as #14 nationally during the first month of the season, but dropped out of the rankings after losses to Louisville and Gonzaga. They didn't receive any votes in the most recent version of the AP Poll.

Indiana has four players who average double-digit scoring figures, led by Arizona transfer center Oumar Ballo who averages 15 points and 10 rebounds per game. Their second-leading scorer is junior forward Malik Reneau, but he's been dealing with a knee injury and is currently on a fairly severe minutes restriction. He scored just two points while playing 11 minutes in their last game against Northwestern.

Maryland is 9-14 all-time against Indiana, and have lost six of the last seven matchups. The Terps haven't won in Bloomington since 2020, their only road victory over the Hoosiers since joining the Big Ten Conference.

KenPom Rankings

  • Maryland: #19 (#28 ORtg, #18 DRtg; #61 AdjT)
  • Indiana: #62 (#74 ORtg, #55 DRtg; #85 AdjT)

Let's make it a bad day for those yuppy preppy little pricks in Bloomington. Their student section reminds me of Duke, and that isn't a complement.

Maryland enters this game as 2.5-point favorites. ESPN gives them a 63.4% chance to win.

Malik Reneau is starting for Indiana today, not sure if his minutes will still be restricted or not but he'll undoubtedly play more than the 11 minutes he played in their last game.

Good game so far. Keep forcing the ball inside. Indiana is doubling aggressively down low, so there’ll be open opportunities beyond the arc today.

Backing up the Illinois win with another road win today would get me off Willard's back a bit. Will genuinely be surprised if it happens

Ballo is a force down low. Offensively, might be a good idea (especially in these one-big lineups) to draw him to the perimeter and get cutters in behind. Guards are having a tough time driving into the lane off picks at the moment.

That’s twice now that Indiana has exploited Queen’s laziness getting back on defense.

Indiana stinks. No excuse to lose this gane.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Need to stop settling for jumpers early in the shot clock. Keep feeding the post.

Always loved these early Sunday CBS games. Reminds you that March and spring are sort of around the corner.

Plus NCAA CBS is theme song is a 15/10
