After picking up their first road victory of the season against Illinois, Maryland remains away from home to face off against Indiana on Sunday afternoon. The Hoosiers currently hold a record of 14-6 (5-4), and have lost three of their last four games to Iowa, Illinois, and Northwestern. Mike Woodson's squad was ranked as high as #14 nationally during the first month of the season, but dropped out of the rankings after losses to Louisville and Gonzaga. They didn't receive any votes in the most recent version of the AP Poll.
Indiana has four players who average double-digit scoring figures, led by Arizona transfer center Oumar Ballo who averages 15 points and 10 rebounds per game. Their second-leading scorer is junior forward Malik Reneau, but he's been dealing with a knee injury and is currently on a fairly severe minutes restriction. He scored just two points while playing 11 minutes in their last game against Northwestern.
Maryland is 9-14 all-time against Indiana, and have lost six of the last seven matchups. The Terps haven't won in Bloomington since 2020, their only road victory over the Hoosiers since joining the Big Ten Conference.
