This 18-5 run by Purdue is exactly why they don’t lose conference games at home. They know how to finish out the close ones.

Thought we had this one but Purdue just dominated the final 8 minutes barring a miracle.

They (MD) looked like the better team for the majority of the contest. This is their 10th game together as a totally remade team. Their #4 fouled out early and missed significant time after his 4th foul. Their first big road test against a really good team.

This result sucks. I was into it every second and badly wanted the dub, but I’m fairly encouraged TBH. This team is legit.

Obviously not the result anyone wanted, but it’s definitely encouraging to see how well they played against a Top-10 team in one of the toughest road environments in the country.

They’ll have more than a week off for final exams before facing Saint Francis next Tuesday night.

Reese needs to grow up, but I fear that may not happen. 

 

That said, I won't pile on today - that 5th foul call was fairly questionable IMO.
